Best Edition Switch, Debarge, Motown & Me! with FREE PDF EDITION!

This book took me through a kaleidoscope of emotions. Growing up during the 80s, I remember when Switch came out and I loved so many of the songs that they sang. The author does a great job of taking you through his dreams of wanting to be famous and the hard work that he put in to get there. He loved his music and was a true musician from day one. He was able to pull together a group of talented individuals that gave us some of the best music of the 1980s. Throughout the book, the author details the struggles in dealing with Bobby DeBarge, without doubt, the star of the group. He and his brother Tommy came into the group with many troubles, but contributed significantly to what Switch ultimately came to be. Drugs tore this group apart and even worse, the torment that Bobby went through in his childhood and sexual confusion in his adult life acted as a cancer, eventually leading to the group's demise. This book was well written and I got through it in two days. For Bobby, he was dealt a bad hand, failed by many, and only found peace in death. For the band, it's sad that Switch didn't last longer than it did, but during its time, it left an indelible mark on 80s R&B that only a few bands can claim.
